Doc comes to us from southern Saskatchewan originally but has spent some time in both Vancouver and Regina. Doc attended the University of Saskatchewan for his undergraduate studies in Agricultural Economics, then graduated from the College of Law, also at the University of Saskatchewan. After receiving his Bachelor of Law in 2002, he spent a year in Australia traveling before articling and being called to the Saskatchewan Bar in 2004.
For years, while operating his law practice, Doc was also a firefighter/paramedic with the Regina Fire and Protective Services. One of Doc’s favourite hobbies is home renovations. Doc is also interested in the rapidly developing technology in the practice of law and the use of it to create a better client experience.
Presently, Doc is a member of the Saskatoon Kinsmen Club, 100 Men That Give a Damn, has previously served on the board of Cheshire Homes International, and was an active member with the Alberta Bar Association.
Ben was Born and raised on a farm outside Canora, Saskatchewan. He received his bachelor’s degree (Double Honours) at the University of Saskatchewan in 2010 and subsequently completed law school at the U of S in 2014.
After graduation from law school, Ben articled and practised in Melfort, Saskatchewan. During his time in Melfort, he was able to gain valuable experience specifically related to Family Law issues in rural Saskatchewan, including issues related to agricultural property and divorce.
In 2016, Ben returned to Saskatoon to work at a full service law firm before joining Edge Family Law in January of 2018.
Ben has assisted a variety of clients on all matters related to family law. He particularly has an interest in assisting individuals in the agricultural industry, as his farming background makes it easier to discuss concerns clients may have with their farm assets while going through a separation or divorce. However, Ben’s family law practice is varied and he has represented individuals involving issues related to custody, access, adoption, child and spousal support in addition to family property issues.
Ben has previously sat as a board member for the Canadian Cancer Society (North East Saskatchewan Unit), AIDS Saskatoon and was previously a member of the Melfort Kinsmen Club.
While not at home with his wife Danielle, Ben enjoys golfing, watching (and coaching) football, camping around Saskatchewan and helping his brother with the family farm.

In law school, he sat as Chairperson with the University’s Law Society and gained valuable insight through student internships and work terms at law firms in Canada and Europe.
After completing law school, Edge Family Law was fortunate enough to welcome Devin as their articling student. Devin completed his articles with flying colors and has flourished as a family law lawyer since his call to the Saskatchewan Bar.
Devin is a firm believer in community involvement. He is a current member of the NSBA, Saskatchewan Trial Lawyers Association, and the Kinsmen Club of Saskatoon. When Devin is not in the office, he enjoys volunteering at the Running Wild Rescue, working on cars, traveling, and photography.
