Leanne Johnson

Leanne was born and raised and has practiced in Saskatchewan her entire career. She received her Political Studies degree from the University of Saskatchewan in 1995 and subsequently, her law degree in 1998. After completing her articles in Prince Albert in 2000, Leanne returned to Saskatoon and has been practicing family law ever since. Leanne has assisted clients in a variety of cases including disputes involving child custody and parenting, child support, spousal support, division of property between married and common-law couples, contested and uncontested divorces, step-parent adoptions, mobility (move-away) requests, and Prenuptial/Postnuptial Agreements. Having practiced family law for over 20 years, Leanne has had much experience at all levels of court, including Chambers applications, Pre-Trial Conferences, Trials, Appeals and the Supreme Court of Canada.  She is a trained Mediator, Arbitrator and Parenting Coordinator.

Outside the office, Leanne is a parent to two active children, is a former member of the Board of Directors for Lawyers Concerned for Lawyers (LCL), the Board of Directors for SaskTel Centre, the Board of Directors for Women Entrepreneurs of Saskatchewan (WESK) and the Board of Directors for the Saskatchewan Trial Lawyers Association as the Editor of the Advocate Magazine.  She is a member of ADR (Alternative Dispute Resolution) Saskatchewan, NSBA, Saskatoon Chamber of Commerce, Women Entrepreneurs of Saskatchewan and Prairieland Park and was a 2018 Women of Distinction nominee. Chelsie McKay

Chelsie was born and raised in Quebec before moving to Saskatchewan when she was 14 years old. She attended the University of Saskatchewan in 2009 and received her bachelor’s degree (Great Distinction) in Economics before graduating from law school in 2015.

Chelsie articled with the provincial government which provided her with experience in many different areas of law and allowed her to become comfortable in the courtroom.

Prior to joining Edge Family Law in May 2021, Chelsie worked at a large, full-service law firm and a smaller firm practicing primarily in Family Law. She has been involved in assisting clients with a large variety of family law issues and prides herself on quick and effective communication.

Chelsie assists the Ministry of Justice by volunteering with the Family Law Information Sessions providing free legal information to the public. She has also recently begun volunteering with Pro Bono Law Saskatchewan.

Chelsea Campbell

Chelsea received her Bachelor of Arts Degree with Distinction in Psychology in 2009, her Diploma with Great Distinction in Youth Care Work in 2016, and her Juris Doctor in 2019. Prior to attending law school, Chelsea worked as an Intervenor for the Canadian Deaf Blind Association, as a program facilitator at BridgePoint Centre for Eating Disorders, and as a Disability Support Worker at McCallum House.

During law school, Chelsea volunteered with CLASSIC in their Legal Advice Clinic and with the Systemic Initiatives Program. She has volunteered with various groups throughout the years, including The Terry Fox Run, World’s Vision’s 30 Hours Famine, The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society, and The Sexual Assault Centre. Chelsea ran a half marathon in Iceland for Team Diabetes, and currently sits as President of the German Language School’s Board. She is also actively involved in CISV (formerly, “Children’s International Summer Villages”) and sits on their Board as the Risk Manager and Fundraising Coordinator.

Chelsea is a member of the Saskatoon Bar Association, the Canadian Bar Association, and the Saskatoon Trial Lawyers’ Association.

Chelsea is an avid jogger, piano player, globetrotter, and gardener, and describes herself as “a hippie at heart”. Of all her accomplishments, Chelsea is most proud of being mom to her two boys, Hendrix and Linden.

Articling Student

Ashleigh Arcand

Ashleigh was born and raised in Alberta until the age of 13. She lived in British Columbia for a year shortly before moving to Saskatchewan where she completed her high school diploma in 2015.
In the fall of 2015, Ashleigh began her studies at the University of Regina before transferring to the University of Saskatchewan in 2017. She received her Bachelor of Arts Degree, majoring in Sociology in 2020 and was accepted into Law School at the College of Law in Saskatoon that fall. During Ashleigh’s Law School studies, she also volunteered for Pro Bono Students Canada and was the Family Representative for the Law Student’s Association. Last summer, Ashleigh was lucky enough to experience working as a summer legal research assistant conducting research regarding civil cases and laws in Belize. In the fall of 2023, she began working at CLASSIC Inc. in the Clinical Intensive Law Program while completing her legal studies.

Throughout her schooling at the University of Saskatchewan, Ashleigh worked on and off during the summers and occasionally part-time during school at a non-profit charity called the Safe Drinking Water Foundation as the educational assistant and kit coordinator. She was also fortunate enough to assist the Saskatchewan SPCA for a summer doing research and assisting with the emergency pet food program. Ashleigh enjoys spending time with her son and partner doing activities together like bike riding, camping, quadding, and fishing. In her own time, she enjoys hobbies such as reading, watching movies, and photography.

Danielle Brown

Danielle Brown is a seasoned legal assistant at Edge Law in Saskatoon, with a career spanning five years. After beginning her career at Edge, Danielle ventured to Vancouver to broaden her legal experience before ultimately returning to her roots in Saskatoon, and rejoining the esteemed Edge team this spring.

With a passion for law and a keen eye for detail, Danielle is an integral part of Edge Law’s success. Her expertise in legal administration, coupled with her commitment to excellence, makes her an indispensable asset to the team.

When she’s not working diligently to ensure Edge Law’s clients receive top-notch legal support, Danielle enjoys spending time indulging in her favorite hobbies. Whether it’s trying out new restaurants, playing sports, or spending quality time with her many animals, Danielle approaches everything she does with the same enthusiasm and dedication that she brings to her work at Edge Law.

Jamie Bell

We are excited to welcome Jamie Bell to the team as our new Receptionist. With a warm smile and friendly demeanor, Jamie is the first point of contact for clients, providing comfort and support during what may be a difficult time in their lives.

Jamie took a Legal Administrative Assistant program through Saskatoon Business College 10 years ago. After finishing her course, she worked many Reception/Administrative jobs to gain experience. She decided she wanted a change from her previous job as an Administrative Assistant with a Mechanical Contracting firm and found a place with Edge Family Law.

She brings a sense of compassion and integrity to our office. Jamie has strong organizational and detail-oriented skills. She possesses excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. Her strong work ethic makes her an indispensable asset to the team.

Outside of work, Jamie enjoys spending time with her three boys and volunteers on the Board of Directors at her youngest boys’ daycare. Jamie grew up on a farm near Herschel, Saskatchewan. She wasn’t afraid to get her hands dirty and enjoyed the simple things in life. She now resides in Saskatoon and has been living in the city for over 20 years.
