Doc is a farm boy at heart from southern Saskatchewan, who has resided in Vancouver, BC, and previously, Regina, SK (which we don’t entirely hold against him). Doc attended the University of Saskatchewan for his undergraduate studies in Agricultural Economics, then graduated from the College of Law, also at the University of Saskatchewan. After receiving his Bachelor of Law in 2002, he spent a year in Australia traveling before articling and being called to the Saskatchewan Bar in 2004.
For years, while operating his law practice, Doc was also a firefighter/paramedic with the Regina Fire and Protective Services. One of Doc’s favourite hobbies is home renovations. Doc is also interested in the rapidly developing technology in the practice of law and the use of it to create a better client experience.
Presently, Doc is a member of the Saskatoon Kinsmen Club, 100 Men That Give a Damn, has previously served on the board of Cheshire Homes International, and was an active member with the Alberta Bar Association.

Ben was Born and raised on a farm outside Canora, Saskatchewan. He received his bachelor’s degree (Double Honours) at the University of Saskatchewan in 2010 and subsequently completed law school at the U of S in 2014.
After graduation from law school, Ben articled and practised in Melfort, Saskatchewan. During his time in Melfort, he was able to gain valuable experience specifically related to Family Law issues in rural Saskatchewan, including issues related to agricultural property and divorce.
In 2016, Ben returned to Saskatoon to work at a full service law firm before joining Edge Family Law in January of 2018.
Ben has assisted a variety of clients on all matters related to family law. He particularly has an interest in assisting individuals in the agricultural industry, as his farming background makes it easier to discuss concerns clients may have with their farm assets while going through a separation or divorce. However, Ben’s family law practice is varied and he has represented individuals involving issues related to custody, access, adoption, child and spousal support in addition to family property issues.
Ben has previously sat as a board member for the Canadian Cancer Society (North East Saskatchewan Unit), AIDS Saskatoon and was previously a member of the Melfort Kinsmen Club.
While not at home with his wife Danielle, Ben enjoys golfing, watching (and coaching) football, camping around Saskatchewan and helping his brother with the family farm.

Aleida is pleased to be a student-at-law at Edge. Originally from Bloemfontein South Africa, Aleida immigrated to Canada at 9 years old. She resided in the rural community of Radville SK for 8 years before commencing undergraduate studies at the University of Saskatchewan. Now, she is proud to call Saskatoon home.
Aleida received her bachelor’s degree in Political Studies at the University of Saskatchewan in 2014. While in undergrad she worked as a student research assistant, where she was assigned a variety of projects with Dr. Smith in the areas of Canadian Constitutional and Charter Law.

While in law school, she was accepted into the criminal intensive practicum and as a result worked at the Rural Legal Aid Office here in Saskatoon. In that capacity, she was able to assist in the conduct of trials, preparation of written arguments, and appearing on several matters in criminal court. She further acted as primary counsel on a trial and a bail hearing.

Martina Isa is yet another exceptionally wonderful member of our team. Martina received her Legal Administrative Assistant diploma from Saskatoon Business College in 2011. She has several years of experience in a law office, starting off as a receptionist and later working her way to a dedicated legal assistant, focusing primarily on family law. Martina joined Edge Family Law in October of 2015 and loves every moment of it.
Aside from the many weddings she attends, Martina is quite involved in volunteering her time with Saskatoon’s Chaldean Community. She is an active Board Member of Saskatoon’s Folkfest Mesopotamian Pavilion and a Council Member with the Sacred Heart Chaldean Church. Martina enjoys spending time with her family and friends, loves shopping and enjoys travelling. We are excited for Martina to marry the love of her life, Marwan, this July!!
Jasmyn was attending the University of Saskatchewan when she began working in the restaurant industry with a fabulous legal assistant who convinced Jasmyn that there was no better career. Wisely, Jasmyn immediately ended her time at the U of S and enrolled at the Saskatoon Business College. She graduated with a Legal Assistant Diploma and now we are proud to have her. Jasmyn is also an active volunteer with WANAR (We All Need A Rescue) Dog Rescue, dedicated to rehabilitating neglected, abandoned dogs and to finding their “Fur-ever” homes. If Jasmyn isn’t working or hanging out with four-legged fur balls, she enjoys being around family and friends and travelling.

Even though the law firm setting was foreign to Tasha when she began her career at Edge, she was determined to excel. Prior to Edge, Tasha was the owner/operator of a day home, which provided a solid foundation for the skills and capabilities needed for the day to day operations of a fast paced office environment.
Tasha was born in Saskatoon and lives in the City of Bridges with her fiance, 10 year old daughter and German Shepherd, Roxy. She volunteers at her daughter’s dance studio throughout the year from taking measurements to steaming to doing hair. Tasha loves to watch her daughter dance at competitions throughout Western Canada with her dance mates. For fun, Tasha loves taking her family to events in and around Saskatoon, walking Roxy and is known for making everyone’s day just a bit brighter.
Claire Underhill is one of Edge’s newest team members. Claire brings with her previous legal experience as a team member in a Criminal Law firm, and General Law practice firms. She has attended the University of Saskatchewan, College of Psychology, but has recently taken an interest in attending law school. Claire enjoys keeping active in the local arts community, including volunteering as Fashion Director for Saskatoon Fashion and Design Festival (SFDF) for the past five years. When Claire’s not doubling as our resident fashion expert, you can find her playing the drums, crafting, scouring the racks of vintage shops, or planning a wedding. Yep, as a former wedding and special events planner, Claire is never one to sit still – so, if you’re looking to get married, or need help undoing one – she’s the girl for you.
Amber is our newest member and is the smiling face that greets you when you walk through our door. Amber’s passion for her career is driven by personal connection. This is what influenced her career move to Edge Family Law. She formerly specialized in men’s barbering as a Journeyperson stylist. Two very different careers with one common connection – hospitality. When she’s not smiling, she’s laughing. When she’s not laughing, she’s singing. “If I can make someone’s day better by flashing them a smile, then I count that day as a win”
Amber’s passions outside of the office include music, fictional reading, cooking and art. She is also an adrenaline junkie…did you say roller coaster? Most importantly, she is a mother to a very sparky 3.5 year old daughter.
